The Philadelphia 76ers announced their 2019-2020 season schedule on Monday, which includes a wide variety of must-see games.

Philly will play 24 national TV games on ABC, TNT, and ESPN plus an additional 12 times on NBA TV.

There will be plenty of revenge games, homecomings and potential playoff previews throughout the course of the 82-game season.

Let’s look ahead to opening night and when we will see some former Sixers back in town for the first time.

Reunion Games

All the off-season signings and trades make for plenty of match-ups that will have some extra intensity for sure.

The season opens at the Wells Fargo Center Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN versus the Boston Celtics.

Not only do they start the season against their biggest rival, but it will be Al Horford’s first game against his former team.

Horford’s first game back in Boston will be Dec. 12, which will be interesting to see how he’s treated by Celtics fans.

Jimmy Butler will return to Philadelphia Nov. 23 as a member of the Miami Heat.

Butler is well respected by the fans but is expected to be booed heavily for choosing to leave. It will also be Josh Richardson’s first game against his former team.

Other notable reunions include TJ McConnell returning with the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 30, and JJ Redick coming back on Dec. 13 with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The anticipation of a new season continues to grow with each passing day.
