Barring another situation like 2016, it seems the Los Angeles Angels are setting their starting rotation for the 2017 season. If the injury monster can stay out of the Halos dugout then they should be just fine. The rotation will look like this: Garrett Richards, Tyler Skaggs, Ricky Nolasco, Matt Shoemaker, and Alex Meyer.
Nick Tropeano and Alex Heaney will be in the mix for good measure. Two of these starters, Richards and Shoemaker, signed one-year deals today to avoid arbitration. Shoemaker signed for $3.325M and Richards agreed to a $6.85M deal. With spring training about a month away, 2017 looks like it won’t be as dismal of a year for the Angels.
