No, this is not a typo. Bob Stoops is officially retiring today. Offensive Coordinator Lincoln Riley will take over the program and step up to the Head Coaching position.

Stoop spent 18 years with the Sooners winning a National Championship in 2000, 10 Big 12 Titles, and leaves his over all coaching record at 190-48. Stoops has been the Big 12 coach of the year six times including the past two seasons.

Bob is one of only four Oklahoma coaches to have over 100 career wins with the Sooners and retires with the most of any Sooner Head Coach in history with 190

Stay tuned to the Armchair All-Americans for updates and further news regarding the retirement of Bob Stoops.

My name is Hogan Gore, I am a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. If I’m not hard at work in the library you can typically find me on Campus Corner visiting my favorite bars or at the ballpark watching the Sooners. I love to read, write, and talk all things Oklahoma Sooners so I hope that I can keep my readers up to date on all the happenings here in the Sooner State. I can be found on twitter @hgore_25 and on Instagram @hdg25. One piece of advice I will give is this, no matter how bad things seem, at least we’re not Texas. Boomer Sooner!
