The Ohio State secondary should be looking mighty fine for the next few years. Jaiden Woodbey, a four-star and the third-best safety of the 2018 class, committed to The Ohio State University.
Woodbey attends St. John Bosco High School, the same high school as incoming 2017 five-star guard Wyatt Davis. Woodbey stands at 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. and is currently ranked as the 32nd-best prospect. Woodbey is a USC legacy and had offers from 20 different schools, including OSU.
In this most recent recruiting class, Ohio State picked up five cornerbacks: Jeffrey Okudah (#1 CB), Shaun Wade (#2 CB), Amir Riep (#23 CB), Marcus Williamson (#27 CB), and Kendall Sheffield (#1 JUCO CB). At safety, Isaiah Pryor (#7 S) seeks an opportunity for playing time. With the departures of Erick Smith and Damon Webb next year (both seniors), Woodbey will look to compete and play as a true freshman right away.
