The Patriots were already without Tom Brady heading into this Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale. Now, the prospects of a victory seem even bleaker due to the latest injury news regarding three starters on offense.
Reportedly not joining the team on Friday’s flight to Arizona were TE Rob Gronkowski, OT Nate Solder, and OG Jonathan Cooper. All three players have been dealing with injuries, and it is reported that none of them are expected to suit up on Sunday in Arizona.
With this news, Martellus Bennett, Cameron Fleming, and Ted Karras would seemingly be in line for increased roles at tight end, tackle, and guard, respectively. This could make things very difficult for Jimmy Garoppolo, who was already facing the daunting task of making his first NFL start on the road against one of the best teams in the NFL.
