Wednesday Feb. 7 will mark National Signing Day, practically a national holiday in the college football world.
Let’s take a look at the top two remaining targets for Will Muschamp and company as the Gamecocks look to close with a top-15 recruiting class.
DL Rick Sandidge (6-5, 288)
The four-star prospect out of Concord High School is a highly regarded defensive lineman in the 2018 class. The Gamecocks have figured to be in good standing during the entire recruiting process, although Georgia has come on strong with a late push.

Where: Concord High School (in the Media Center)
Sandidge will make his college decision Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. EST at his high school in Concord, N.C. Simply put, Sandidge is a game changing talent and should earn immediate playing time as a true freshman. Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks need to lock down this one to put an exclamation point on the 2018 class.
DE John Mincey (6-4, 255)
John Mincey, the one time Arkansas Razorback commitment, is one of the more underrated players in this class. Mincey shows great quickness off the edge and fills a position of need for the Gamecocks.
After losing three of its top four defensive lineman in 2017, South Carolina needs a guy like Mincey in order to rebuild their pass rush from a year ago. Mincey will make his college decision at 10:00 a.m. at his high school in Homerville, Ga.
