GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS
The Florida Gators are heading into a very important week for the team. After dropping to No. 22 in the top-25, as we look at here, it is pivotal that the team makes noise. With an impending Orange Bowl Classic matchup looming, there are a lot of factors playing into Florida’s momentum.

The biggest advantage for Florida seems to be location. While yes, this isn’t Gainesville, it’s still Florida. The Orange Bowl being in Fort Lauderdale brings home-state advantage for the Gators. Also riding a 66-60 victory against Cincinnati, the team also has that momentum going for them.
Thirdly, the statistics are on the Gators’ good side after all. As of the victory over the Bears, the Gators have outscored opponents 788-692 in points. They also boast an 87.6 points-per-game average, while opponents only have a 76.9 average. If you want to look at records as well, this challenge being in a neutral site bodes well for Florida.
Nine games into this season, the Gators hold a 3-1 neutral site record. This may play well into the favor of the Fighting Gators as they play in the home of the Florida Panthers. As part of a series on Saturday, the Clemson Tigers look to derail the Gators’ hopes for an in-state victory. The game is set for a 4:30 tipoff from the BB&T Center in Sunrise on Dec. 16.
