Legacy Fighting Alliance holds its second live event in as many weeks this Friday night, when the promotion finds itself in Broomfield, CO, just 16 miles away from Denver, for LFA 79, the last event of the year for the LFA.

The six-fight main card will be livestreamed on the promotion’s new media partner, UFC Fight Pass on Friday night at 10 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. PST. It is the second LFA event to be streamed on UFC Fight Pass as part of the promotion’s new pact with the streaming platform, an agreement which covers every LFA card from now until the end of 2021.

Back to the fights themselves: Highlighting LFA 79 on Friday night is an LFA Flyweight championship fight in the main event between 9-4 Brandon Royval and 29-18 Nate Williams. The winner claims the vacant title. Royval was supposed to have fought 9-1 Jared Scoggins, but the pairing was canceled prior to the event.

As with all MMA title fights, this will be a maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round.

Contender Comparison

Heading into Friday night’s main event, Brandon Royval is the taller fighter, standing 5-foot-7, six inches taller than Nate Williams at 5-foot-1.

Royval has gone 4-1 in his last five fights, most recently scoring a first-round submission (armbar) against Jovy Sanchez in LFA 65.

In the other corner, Nate Williams has gone 3-2 in his last five fights and is currently on a two-fight winning streak. Last time out, he won by unanimous decision vs. Jeff Jepsen in Pinnacle Combat 31 on Sept. 28.

The Tale of the Tape

Tapology shows that Brandon Royval has a 70.5-inch reach, with no such information for Nate Williams.
