Game 5: Louisville 12, Kent State 6

Kent State was pushed out of the Lubbock Regional on Sunday by a potent Louisville offense. The Golden Flashes were bested by freshman pitcher Bobby Miller, who pitched a strong eight innings. Miller allowed six earned runs on eight hits, but that was just fine when his offense put up twelve runs. The Cardinals made it to their seventh straight regional championship behind Jake Snider, Devin Mann and Danny Oriente.

Game 6: Texas Tech 11, Louisville 6

The Red Raiders are heading to a Super Regional against either Georgia or Duke. This will be Texas Tech’s third Super Regional appearance in school history, and their high-powered offense is ready for the challenge. Tech, lead by Zach Rheams who finished 4-for-5 with three runs scored, outlasted the Cardinals. The Raiders grabbed the lead early, putting up four runs in the first inning, and never slowed down, as five players finished with a multi-hit appearance.
