Steelers’ wide receiver Martavis Bryant has officially been reinstated by the NFL. The talented wide out will be returning from a year long suspension for violating the NFL Substance Abuse policy after repeatedly testing positive for marijuana. Bryant will be allowed to attend the Steelers OTA events, but will be required to receive mandatory counseling and repeated drug tests. He will be evaluated again before being ‘fully’ reinstated.
The Steelers are likely thankful for the decision, as it clears up their wide receiver situation heading into the draft. Nevertheless, look for them to invest at least one draft pick this weekend as insurance. Chris Godwin out of Penn State and Kenny Golladay from Northern Illinois are early and late day (respectively) players that the team has shown interest in.
