A nationally televised home game against a Nittany Lions squad that is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation is sure to garner plenty of attention. With that said, the Spartans have been busy at work scheduling visits for some of their top uncommitted targets.
One of those visits will come from 4-star outside linebacker Christopher Oats out of Cincinnati. The 6-4, 215 pounder is ranked as the No. 261 player in the nation and No. 19 at his position, according to 247 Sports. In addition to Michigan State, Oats has offers from Ohio State, Cincinnati, Kentucky and Ole Miss, among others. While the Spartans are pretty set at linebacker for their 2018 class with three current commits, Oats is a can’t miss prospect.
4-star defensive back Kalon Gervin is also scheduled to visit after decommitting from Notre Dame in May. The Cass Tech (Detroit) star recently released the top six schools that he will consider, including Michigan State, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Florida and Oklahoma.
Decision date coming soon…..

One position that remains an area of focus for the Spartans is defensive tackle. Michigan State has their eyes set on a few defensive lineman, including 3-star Allen Love out of Birmingham, Ala. The 6-3, 285 pound tackle originally planned on visiting for the Notre Dame game, but had to reschedule. While Love is currently committed to Ole Miss, the Spartans have not slowed their recruitment with the firing of Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze.
Last, but certainly not least, is 4-star wide receiver Tommy Bush out of Schertz, Texas. The 6-foot-4 pass catcher has drawn national interest with over 50 offers and is expected to make his first visit to East Lansing the weekend of Nov. 4. Bush has the size that Michigan State is looking for at wide out and is currently ranked No. 36 nationally at the position.
