The 2018 football season is now less than two weeks away. The Ohio State Buckeyes have the talent to make another College Football Playoff run. Sometimes having just talent does not guarantee that the Buckeyes will make the playoff. Winning football games comes down to coaching, effort and execution. As we know, the strength of the Buckeyes is on the defensive line. Let’s take a look at the guys that will be in the rotation for defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
The defensive end group could be the best in the country. First Team All-Big Ten junior Nick Bosa and rising sophmore Chase Young look to be the starters for the Oregon State game. It is the gentleman behind them that could provide great depth in rotation. Jonathon Cooper, a veteran backup, has been a very good player when called upon. Freshman Tyreke Smith also looks like he will be in the rotation. Opposing offensive tackles will definitely fear the product that the Buckeyes will suit up in 2018.
The interior of the defensive line is probably the deepest in the country. Dre’Mont Jones and Robert Landers are the returning starters. We cannot forget the strength of the 2018 freshman class was the defensive tackle position. Adding Taron Vincent, Tommy Togiai and transfer Antwuan Jackson provides great athleticism and size to an already talented defensive line.
My life long dream is to play in the NFL. In order to best achieve this goal, I have decided to forgo my draft eligibility and remain in school. OSU is providing me with a strong and solid foundation which will continue to make achieving my career possible. Go Bucks!

Strength, athleticism and depth is how you describe the talent that the Buckeyes have on the defensive line. The defensive line also will help take the pressure off of the linebackers and defensive backs.
Greg Schiano and Alex Grinch must be pumped for what their defensive line will provide in 2018.
