Texas A&M Aggies

If you haven’t yet heard, Kentucky has a pretty spectacular run game lead by junior running back Benny Snell. For the Aggies, stopping the Wildcats on the ground is of upmost importance. While I could pick the entire defensive line, this week I decided to hone in on one key player and that is senior defensive end and tackle Kingsley Keke.
I firmly expect Keke to take charge of this defense tonight and really take the bull by the horns so to speak. He got really personal with both of the quarterbacks of the Arkansas Razorbacks as he numbered what seemed like tackle for loss after tackle for loss.
Texas A&M has the best rushing defense in the SEC as it stands right now. Look for Kingsley Keke and company to work their butts off to keep it that way on Saturday inside Kyle Field.
I could write over a thousand words for you about how special Benny Snell is at running back and how his presence has changed the makeup of this Kentucky Wildcat offense. However, I’m not going to do that because you already know how great the kid is and how much of a game changer he has become. On that note, let’s talk about the guy who I have chosen as the key player for the Wildcats- quarterback Terry Wilson.
Wilson, or Terry Touchdown as he is affectionately called in Lexington, is quite the exciting quarterback and likely the one that not enough people are talking about. Simply put, the success of the Kentucky Wildcats will be on Terry Wilson’s shoulders from the first snap. Texas A&M has gotten very good at shutting down the run and as a result, it will be up to Wilson to make the plays down field necessary for Kentucky to win this game.
GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS
Outside of Florida and LSU, this may very well be the most exciting matchup of the weekend. On one hand, you have the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats who no one seems to be able to make sense of. The world, outside of Lexington, was sure that Kentucky was a basketball school that sometimes was also decent at baseball. Benny Snell and company have proven everyone wrong though and will look to continue to do so against Texas A&M. Terry Touchdown and his running back Snell have been on fire. The Wildcat defense has been sneakily good. This one could get interesting y’all. Buckle your seat belts as you tune in to ESPN to watch the fight live from Kyle Field.
Speaking of Kyle Field and the Aggies, Jimbo Fisher and company have taken this team to a place that no one really expected them to go so soon under a new head coach. However, they did struggle last week against Arkansas- a team that should and could have slaughtered. They got complacent in that one, at least on offense. That can’t be an option if they expect to win on Saturday night. They can’t play a strong first quarter or even first half and then expect the Wildcats to roll over and let them keep a lead in the second half of this matchup- it just won’t happen.
Don’t expect this to be a blow out on either side. This one will be a battle won in the trenches, a battle of brute force and strength. As great as Benny Snell and Trayveon Williams are, for once it may just not be all about them. This is about the best rushing offense going against the best rushing defense. This is about the West vs the East. This is about protecting your quarterback and making life hell for the other teams man under center.
Simply put, if you aren’t watching ESPN at 7pm- you are doing it wrong.
