February is just about finished, but not before some mixed martial arts weight classes’ championships are decided this weekend.

There are two title fights headlining MMA cards inside the United States this weekend, beginning on Friday in TITAN FC 59.

Coverage of TITAN FC 59 from Xtreme Action Park in Ft. Lauderdale at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST this Friday night on UFC Fight Pass.

In total, this card features nine fights, highlighted by the TITAN Welterweight championship in the main event of the evening.

Mike Graves (8-1-2) will fight Yuri Villefort (12-3) to close the show.

In addition to the professional fights taking place on Friday night, two prelims will take place just prior to the broadcast:
Joshua DaSilveira (1-0) will fight Jarrod Thomas (0-1) in a Light Heavyweight prelim.

In the other undercard fight, Miles Amos (2-0) will meet Garrick James (5-3) in a Middleweight contest.

Let’s turn our attention back to Friday night’s main event championship showcase.

Contender Comparison:

Heading into the championship fight on Friday night, both contestants in this pairing stand level at six feet even.

How they got here:

Mike Graves has posted a 2-1-2 record in his last five fights, winning his last two contests.

Last time out, he defeated Jared Gooden (unanimous decision) in TITAN FC 53 last year on UFC Fight Pass.

Graves was scheduled to fight Kamal Magomedov on Friday night as a make good for a canceled fight between the two last October because of an injury sustained by the former, but the rescheduled pairing, too, was canceled, this after the latter withdrew from the show.

In the other corner. Yuri Villefort has gone 3-2 in his last five fights, most recently scoring a first-round knockout of Joey Munoz last November in 24/7 FC: Brawl in the Burgh 2 in Pittsburgh.

The Tale of the Tape:

Tapology shows that Villefort has a one-inch reach advantage (73 inches to 72 inches) over Graves heading into this fight.

Prediction: Mike Graves by decision.

Six other main card fights will happen on Friday night:

Max Rohskopf (4-0) vs. Paulo Silva (6-5) [Lightweight co-main event]

Said Sowma (3-1) vs. Jermaine Barnes (3-2) [Heavyweight]

Cleveland McLean (11-8) vs. Desmond Moore (6-4) [Flyweight]

Geralbert Castillo (4-1) vs. Bruce Lutchmedial (6-3) [Lightweight]

Roman Faraldo (2-0) vs. Irvin Jones (3-1) [Welterweight]

Charlie Decca (1-0) vs. John Marquez (1-1) [Welterweight]
