Noteworthy:

Dana White’s Contender Series has a rescheduled Opening Night set for its upcoming fourth season.

This season of Contender Series was originally scheduled  to begin this past Tuesday night in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex before the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on ESPN+ inside the United States and internationally on UFC Fight Pass.

Now, Contender Series is targeted to begin its fourth season with its rescheduled Opening Night on Aug. 4—though a main event for that night has yet to be finalized—nor is there a firm number of episodes for this season.

Onward to today’s topic:

TITAN FC 61:

The UFC isn’t the only MMA organization with a live event this weekend—and you don’t need to wait until Saturday night to get your MMA fix.

On Friday night, TITAN Fighting Championships returns to UFC Fight Pass for TITAN FC 61 in Miami at the Intercontinental Hotel and Resort Biscayne Bay.

As has become customary with recent MMA shows, this event will take place without fans in the venue to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19.)

In total, TITAN FC 61 (Friday, 8 p.m. ET, UFC Fight Pass) will feature five mixed martial arts contests, highlighted by a championship fight in your main event.

TITAN FC’s vacant Bantamweight championship is at stake when Danny Sabatello (7-1) fights Raymond Ramos (5-3) in the five-round title fight.

The winner will become the seventh TITAN FC Bantamweight champion all-time after Irwin Rivera relinquished the belt to join the UFC’s active roster earlier this month.

Sabatello vs. Ramos:

Contender Comparison: (note: Reach information was unavailable on Tapology)

Danny Sabatello stands 5-foot-8, with no such information for Raymond Ramos.

How they got here:

Both contenders have gone 4-1 in their last five fights.

For Sabatello, his most recent contest resulted in a victory by third-round submission (arm-triangle choke) just last month at TITAN FC 60 against Chris Johnson.

In the other corner, Ramos enters this main event on a three-fight winning streak, including a unanimous decision victory last August vs. Kenny Porter III in TITAN FC 56.

Prediction: Danny Sabatello by second-round knockout.

Other fights on Friday’s card include:

Co-Main Event: Landon Stewart (4-1-1) vs. Geralbert Castillo (4-1) [Lightweight]

Victor Dias (6-2) vs. Cleveland McLean (12-8) [Flyweight]

Christian Ynastrilla (5-1) vs. Philip Keller (2-4) [Flyweight]

Colin Lubberts (4-1) vs. Irvin Jones (3-1) [Welterweight]

TITAN FC 61 at a Glance: (Friday)

Card: 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT, UFC Fight Pass
