The Titans announced their 53-man roster on Saturday after what was a less-than-stellar preseason. Some notable roster cuts include 7th-round draft pick Klahfani Muhammad (eligible for practice squad) and return specialist Eric Weems, who lost out on the kicking and punt return jobs. Another significant development for the Titans is placing second-year receiver Tajae Sharpe on injured reserve after he re-injured his foot in the last preseason game against the Chiefs.

Wide receiver Tre McBride, one of the more well-known Titans players to be waived on Saturday, is a player who did not get a whole lot of playing time but was liked by everyone in the stands as well as on the field.

Annual roster cuts are never fun for coaches and general managers, as they are cutting guys who really want to play football. However, teams have to make these cuts and put who they think are the best players on the field in order to win. The Titans begin their season next week at home at Nissan Stadium in a highly anticipated match-up against the Oakland Raiders.
