Many fans, critics, and former players of the United States Men’s National Team have been criticizing the U.S. on the back of their last 2 games against Costa Rica and Honduras that ended in a 2-0 loss and a 1-1 tie respectively. Both were games in which the side seemed to be lackadaisical.
Alexi Lalas, former U.S.A. international, had this to say to the team:
Alexi Lalas since has received a lot of backing for pointing out players who are supposed to be leaders. Some of those that he mentioned were Tim Howard, Michael Bradley, and even Christian Pulisic.
The U.S. are currently sitting in the wildcard spot of 4th place in the CONCACAF standings which means that if they remain there, they will play against the 5th place team from AFC (Asian Football Confederation).
They now look ahead to their next two games against Panama and Trinidad and Tobago. The U.S.A. will host the Panamanians and then will be the visiting team against Trinidad. The Americans will have a lot to prove to the critics, and many would say they owe their fans a world cup ticket in Russia 2018.
